The Forest Skis manufactory once again developed a unique product. The novelty resulted in the production of several pieces of longboards.
,,We seek love for a composite product even in the summer. How to be reminded of nice moments in the mountains, enjoy summer moments, and cool off. What can be better than transferring to a longboard that has a quality design of our skis?” says Viktor Devečka, owner of Forest Skis and the main developer. As Viktor reveals, longboards are based on a similar construction as Forest Skis.
We built on materials we know
While in the world mostly maple board is used for the production of longboards, ours have a two-layer poplar core. Poplar is a guarantee that the board is light and flexible. The sandwich construction is complemented by carbon, glass, and flax fibers.
,,We base on what we have already verified in our joint manufactory. This increases the quality of production and at the same time reduces the energy intensity of production. We constantly think ecologically, we use ECO adhesives and, for example, a plastic protector significantly extends the life of the board. ” A total of 10 pieces were produced now.
Two different shapes and two different constructions form four different products.
These are our shapes
the 80 cm board represents the classic shape of an old school skateboard, the so-called fish it is small, versatile and ideal for riving around the city, it turns faster as it has trucks closer to themselves
90 cm board is wider and slightly more stable for a more aggressive ride, is great for cruising along beaches, on larger areas, and also suitable for downhill.
These are our constructions
Wood – fullcarbon fibers Thanks to carbon fibers, the board is hard, light, and efficiently returns the energy when pumping and starts up. It is gear for pump track or board cross.

A composite material is a combination of at least 2 materials, whose properties complement and improve each other. Usually, solid fibrous material and liquid material are combined. The liquid hardens in the production process and is bound with the fibrous material. Examples are reinforced concrete, glass, Kevlar or carbon fibers, wood, and resin. At Forest Skis, we use organic resin in combination with natural fibers.
