On the website of the Spanish online magazine “IloveSki.org” we discovered an article about what they consider the best and most interesting ski brands on the market.
The comprehensive article summarizes the current information on the market. We are very pleased that our Slovak brand Forest Skis also appeared in the list, and the authors highlighted not only the materials we use in our skis, but also the ecological approach, blueprints and the creation of custom-made skis.
This brand of skis from Slovakia was born from the idea of two engineer brothers who wanted to develop skis with highly advanced technology. And how they succeeded! The materials they use are the result of a research and development process that few companies have developed. For example, they use Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMwPE) under their Dyneema® patent and it is said to be the strongest fiber in the world made from olefin polymers.
They also contain carbon fiber, Kevlar aramid fiber, glass fiber and the best graphite slide. As you know, historically, ash and poplar skis have a great reputation and reliability due to their incredible strength, elasticity and fiber structure. And of course, ski brand Forest Skis uses it in the core composition of its on-snow jewels. Therefore, their skis are intended for intermediate or advanced skiers who have some experience on snowy slopes. In this discipline, they have internationally recognized ambassadors, such as Monika Tatarková, the current FWQ judge in freeride.
In addition, at Forest Skis they are completely ecologically responsible. And it is so that, despite the fact that it is impossible to make 100% ecological skis, at Forest Skis they do everything to reduce the impact on the environment. For this reason, they no longer use plastic surface materials or aluminum construction. In addition, the wood they use comes from European renewable forests and their skis have a surface made with an original indigo dye printing technique with a 400-year history. It is on linen fibers and this technique is registered as a UNESCO cultural heritage. If you look at their catalog you will see that it is very extensive and they make AllMountain, normal Freeride and BigMountain (120mm) skis and a wide range of skitouring skis to enjoy the skialp to the fullest. By the way, if you are very picky about your skis, you should know that this premium brand … makes custom skis.
FOREST SKIS
¡fabrican esquís a medida!”
